opening day
this weekend was opening day for the bulldawgs, and tonight is dropping down into the fifties. the fall starts are taking root. thoughts of fireside whiskey and cool weather hog roasts are bubbling through my subconscious and into reality.
in a true miracle of summer, our blueberries have survived the never ceasing heat, lasting a full month longer than most. this weekend we picked what’s sure to be the end of the berries and made some jam.
on a crisp morning in the beginning of ‘oh eleven we’ll bake up a fresh loaf and spread these last few days of summer onto warm toast.
i mean…what’s better than that?
